The School Day

At St Augustine's we operate a 'soft start' system whereby the school gates open at 8.30am. All children are asked to go straight to their classrooms before the school day oficially begins at 8.45am. 

8.30am - School Gate Opens 

8.45am - School Starts 

10.30 - 10.45am - Infant Break Time 

10.45 - 11am - Junior Break Time 

12.15 - 1.15pm - Lunchtime 

3.15pm - End of the School Day 

3.20 - 4.20pm - After School Clubs

It is essential that your child arrives at school on time each day. Late arrival means missing the start of the day, including assembly and key learning information, and disrupts the class.

If your child arrives late, they must enter via the front office and sign in, as registers will have closed.

If you need to contact the class teacher, please leave a message with the office. Teachers are usually available at 3.15pm or by appointment.

School finishes at 3.15pm. Please collect your child promptly. If you are delayed, contact the school as soon as possible.

All children up to the end of Year 4 must be collected by an adult. Please inform the school in advance if someone different is collecting your child. From Year 5, children may walk home alone with written parental permission.
